今回は、前回の「ホアヒンの美味しいレストラン5選！」で宣言しました通り、ホアヒンでのお役立ち情報として ホアヒンで自転車を借りられる場所＆ホアヒンの安くて綺麗なジムの場所 をご紹介したいと思います。

ホアヒンは、西洋人のリタイア組が多く移住している場所なんですが、日本人を始めとしたアジア人のロングステイ組はあまり見かけません。しかし、美味しい食事＆バンコクからのアクセスも良いので、中・長期で滞在するには絶好のスポットです！

On the last post about “5 selected delicious restaurants in Huahin“, I declared that I would write about Huahin’s useful information. Thus, I’m going to write about  where to rent a bicycle in Huahin, and Huahin’s cheap and clean gym .

Huahin is pretty popular amongst the European long-stayers, as its delicious foods and easy access from Bangkok. 

 

 

 

ホアヒンに中・長期で滞在する旅行者は、大抵バイクをレンタルしています。しかしビーチに行ったり、レストランに食事に行く程度なら、わざわざバイクでは無く自転車を借りた方が安いし、お酒を飲んだ後でも検問の心配が無いので自転車が便利です。ホアヒンの中心はコンパクトにまとまっているので、自転車で十分回れますよ！

ホアヒンの定宿の隣のホステルで、マウンテンバイクを貸し出していた記憶があったので、そこに訪れてみたのですが、何と自転車の貸し出しは辞めたとの事で、他にやっているお店の情報を聞いて訪れてみましたが、そこも自転車の貸し出しは辞めておりました…

今回ホアヒンを散策して気が付いたのが、多くのテナントが廃業しており空き店舗が目立っていました。

 

Most of the long-stayers in Huahin rent motorbikes. If you just want to go to the beach or restaurants, bicycle is way more convenient & cheap. You don’t need to worry about police check after having alcohol right? Moreover, Huahin’s center is pretty compact, so riding a bicycle is more than enough!

I remember the place where they had mountain bikes, but when I visited there this time, they no longer rent bicycles… and I asked them if they knew somewhere I could rent a bicycle. They pointed a place, so I visited there but unfortunately, the shop also no longer rent bicycles. Oh well!

I noticed this time that, many shops were gone, and there were many empty tenants in the business district in Huahin.

 

 

 

自転車探しに難航し、とりあえず一旦宿泊していたChomsin Hua Hin Hotelへ戻ってみたら、お隣にあるHua Hin Lubsabai Hostelにレンタルサイクルの看板がw

小一時間歩き回った苦労は何だったんだ…灯台下暗しとは正にこの事ですね！いやーともあれ、やっと自転車を借りられる事になりました！

 

I couldn’t find a bicycle and got tired, so I went back to my hotel Chomsin Hua Hin Hotel, the hotel next door, Hua Hin Lubsabai Hostel has rental bicycles! Maaaan…

I was walking nearly an hour…It’s hard to see what is under your nose aye? Anyway, finally I could rent a bicycle!

こちらがHua Hin Lubsabai Hostelの場所です。確かレンタル料金は1日70バーツだった…気がします！自転車があるだけで、かなり行動範囲が広がりますので、前回ご紹介した絶品レストランまでも楽々アクセス出来ます。

レンタルの際にはパスポートが必要になるので、忘れずに持参しましょう！

 

This is the location of Hua Hin Lubsabai Hostel. If I remember correctly, the price was 70THB/day. Riding a bicycle really expands area of activity, and it does make easy access to the restaurants, which I recommended last time’s post.

Do NOT forget to bring your passport, when you rent a bicycle tho!

 

 

 

さて、お次は ホアヒンで安くて綺麗なジム をご紹介しましょう！

僕が好きで長期滞在する、北部チェンマイには沢山のジムがあり、値段もかなりお手頃でした。しかし、今回ホアヒンのジムをGoogle Mapで探してみたのですが、まずあまり数が無い上に値段が高い事にビックリ！

シングルエントリー（飛び込みで1日使用）で300バーツもする場所しか、事前には見つける事が出来ませんでした…

 

Next up, I would like to talk about  Huahin’s cheap and clean gym !

I often stay long in Chiang mai, and there are many gyms in Chiang mai, and the price is very reasonable. However, I searched gyms in Huahin on Google Map, but there aren’t many gyms. Moreover, the price is rather high! Surprised…

Drop in price costs nearly 300THB. Isn’t that too expensive in Thailand aye?

 

 

 

今回、カンチャナブリからホアヒンにミニバンで向かったのですが、ミニバンは新しく出来たこちらのバスターミナルに到着しました。

そこからホテルに歩いて向かっていたら！なんとバスターミナルのお隣がかなり新しいジムで、しかも1日95バーツとホアヒンではかなり安い値段設定。これは嬉しい発見でした。

 

This time, I headed to Huahin from Kanchanaburi by taking a mini-van, and the van arrived at the newly established terminal.

I started walking to a hotel, but I found this gym next to the terminal! Luckily enough, the price is just 95THB, which is pretty cheap in Huahin. 

 

この安くて綺麗なジム、 Endorphin fitness club はどうもかなり最近出来た様で、中もとても綺麗でした。マシンもそこそこ揃っていますので、色んな部位を鍛える事が出来ました！トレッドミルや、バイクも数台完備しているので、有酸素運動も行うことが出来ます。

貴重品を入れるロッカー、更衣室も完備してますので快適にトレーニング出来ます。しかも嬉しいことに、朝の7時からオープンしているので、朝食の前にトレーニングも出来ちゃいます！早起き組には嬉しいですね〜。

 

 Endorphin fitness club  was established pretty recently, so the facility is still very clean indeed. There are many varieties of machines, so you can train whole of your body!  There are treadmills and bike machines as well. 

There are lockers and changing rooms, so you don’t worry about your valuables. Thankfully enough, the gym is open from 7 in the morning, so you can do workout before having brekky! Sweet!

こちらのジムは、ソイ51に在ります。先述の通り、隣にミニバンのターミナルが在り、そこからバンコクや近隣の都市まで行く事も出来ます！

まだ新しく出来たばかりで、利用者もそこまで多くないので、ゆったりとトレーニングすることが出来ますよ！オススメのジムです。

 

The gym is located on Soi 51, and as I mentioned before, there is the mini-van terminal next to the gym. You can go to Bangkok and other nearby cities from there!

This gym is still very new, so there aren’t many people. Thus, you can train at your own pace! A highly recommended gym!

 

と言うことで、今回はホアヒンで自転車をレンタル出来る場所と、ホアヒンの安くて綺麗なジムをご紹介致しました！

年末年始にホアヒンに行かれる方の参考になれば幸いです。自転車を借りて、是非色んな場所まで足を伸ばしてみてください！自転車でしたら、飲酒検問も問題ないのでオススメですよ！（とは言え、運転にはくれぐれも気をつけましょうw）
