さて今回は、先日記念すべき第1回をお届けしました、「世界温泉紀行」の第2弾のタイ・チェンダオのホテル編をお届けしたいと思います。

チェンダオ には日本人が作った土管温泉とポンアーン温泉2箇所が有りますが、両方の温泉から20〜30分の所に有ります素晴らしいホテルに泊まりましたので、今回はチェンダオ湯治旅行に最適なホテルをご紹介いたします！

The other day, I posted the very first “Hot spring in the world“. This time, I would like to post the 2nd sequel, Chiang dao in Thailand.

There are 2 hot springs in Chiang dao, one is the “Clay pipe hot spring” made by the Japanese, and the other is “Pong Arng hot spring“.

This time, I wanna share a great hotel in Chiang dao, which is located about 20~30 mins from the hot springs!

 

 

 

今回のチェンダオ 湯治旅行は2泊の日程で訪れました。初日に土管温泉、翌日にポンアーン温泉と言う予定を組んだので、その両温泉からアクセスが良く、また値段もかなりお手頃だったTao Life Centerに宿泊致しまして、こちらのホテルが素晴らしかったのでお勧めしたいと思います！

 

I visited Chiang Dao hot spring tour for 2 days, on the first day I went to the Clay pipe hot spring, and the following day I visited Pong Arng hot spring. 

Tao Life Center is located roughly in the middle of these hot springs, and the price was very reasonable indeed! That’s why I would like to share this hotel with you guys.

 

1:自然豊かなロケーション! / You will stay in the middle of nowhere!

 

 

こちらのホテル、周りはコーン畑や果樹園などが広がるのどかな田園地帯に位置しております。

近くには似たような宿泊施設が有りましたが、その他は本当に何もないロケーションです。とても静かで平和な場所でした。

 

This hotel is located in the middle of corn fields. There is another accommodation nearby, otherwise there is nothing… so it was really quiet and peaceful location.

 

 

ホテル目の前に有りますドイ・ナーンに沈む夕日が綺麗に見えました…サンセットが好きな僕は、こちらのホテル非常に気に入ってしまいました。素晴らしい！

 

You can see a sunset from this hotel. There is a mountain called, “Doi Nang” in front of you. I really do love sunsets, so I fell in love this hotel. Awesome!

 

2:広くて綺麗な室内 !/ Clean and spacious room!

 

 

こちらのTao Life Centerは、全てバンガロー形式の部屋になっています。入り口部分も広いので、ここでビールを飲みながらサンセットを見ておりました。

 

Tao Life Center has several bungalows. The entrance is pretty spacious, and there are a table and chairs, so you can enjoy beer as watching a sunset.

 

 

 

まだ新築な様で、全て新品綺麗で快適でした。窓には網戸が設置されていたので、夜は窓を開けて寝ましたが、とても涼しく安眠出来ました。

収納スペースも沢山有りましたし、大きめの冷蔵庫があるので長期滞在にも良さそうです。

 

This hotel seems pretty new, and every furniture is brand new as well. The screen doors are installed on every window, so it was pretty cool in the evening. You don’t need to turn the AC on in the evening, so you’ll get a sound sleep.

There are many wardrobes, and there is a big fridge, so it’s a good place to stay for a long period.

 

 

風呂・トイレも新品＆清潔でした。また水圧も非常に強く快適にシャワーを浴びる事が出来ました！

アメニティーでシャンプーとボディーソープが付いていましたが、両方とも中身が一緒だったぽいのはご愛嬌w

 

The bathroom was still brand new & clean. The water pressure was very strong enough, so no stress for taking a shower!

There were shampoo and shower gel, but I think the insides were same… Hahaha!

 

3:超可愛い犬達に癒される！ / There are super cute dogs!

 

 

犬好き歓喜！このホテルには超可愛くて、人懐っこいビーグルとハスキーがいます！

この二匹、いつもじゃれあって遊んでいますが、人が大好きな様で僕が泊まっているバンガローまで良く遊びに来ていました。特にビーグルが人懐っこく、飛びついて来たり、椅子の上に座っている僕に飛び乗って来たり…と犬好きな僕にとっては、まさに大満足なホテルなのでしたw

 

If you are a dog lover, this hotel is definitely for you! There are very cute & super friendly beagle and husky!

These dogs were playing each other, but they do love human too. They visited my bungalow many times. The beagle is very friendly indeed, so she will jump to you and ask for a cuddle!  I am a super dog lover, so I was very happy to stay here!

 

Tao Life Centerへの行き方 / How to get to Tao Life Center 

 

 

 

このホテルへの行き方ですが、チェンマイ方面からですと、ハイウェイ107号をひたすら北上し、国道1178を左折します。

マップ上に有ります、「ワットサアットチャイ・スィ」が見えたら左手に小さな看板が出ていますので、 見落とさない様に気を付けてそこを左折して下さい 。

その後も、細い道を進んで行くと所々に看板が出ていますので、見落とさない様に進みましょう。途中から未舗装道路を走る事になりますので、十分に運転に気を付けて下さい。

 

If you visit here from Chaing mai, head to North on highway 107, and then make a left turn to the road 1178.

When you find a temple “Wat Sa At Chai Si”,which in on Google map, there is a small sign on your left, so  be careful and make a left turn ! 

After that, you’ll drive a small road, and there are small signs too. From some point, the road will be unpaved, so drive very careful.

 

 

ホテル入り口の写真です。看板も何も無いので、かなり分かりづらいですw到着すると、犬達が気づき管理人さんがゲートを開けてくれると思います。

 

This is the gate of the hotel, as you can see, there is no sign at all. Anyway, as you approach to the entrance, the dogs will bark, and then the admin will open the gate for you.

先述の通り、Tao Life Centerは田んぼの中にポツ〜ンと建つ、非常に静かなホテルです。

残念ながら、レストランが併設されていなく、またレストランがある通り(国道1178)まで出るのにそこそこ距離がある為、食事に出るのがちょっと億劫であります…

今回は乾季に訪れたので良かったですが、雨季だと未舗装道路をバイクで走行するのは、かなり注意が必要です。ご注意を！

 

As I mentioned before, Tao Life Center is located in the middle of nowhere, very peaceful indeed tho!

Unfortunately, there isn’t a restaurant in the hotel, and it’s a bit far from the hotel to the main road (Rd.1178), where there are some restaurants. That’s why it’s a bit inconvenient to go out for meals…

This time, it was during the dry season, so no problem, but imagine if it’s during the rainy season, driving on a muddy road by motorbike can be pretty challenging. Please do be careful!

 

・カオソーイ屋 / Khao soi restaurant

 

 

まず1軒目はカオソーイ屋でございます。ホテルから国道1178に出ましたら右に進みます。数分走ると左手にこのレストランが見えます。

 

First of all, I would like to tell you this Khao soi restaurant. When you hit the Rd.1178 from the hotel, make a right turn. After few mins, you’ll find this restaurant on our left.

 

 

 

この辺りは選択肢が少なく、特に夜の時間帯は閉まってしまう所が多い模様です。このお店も 9時~14:30までの営業 だそうです。

 

There aren’t many options around this area, and most of the restaurants are closed in the evening. This restaurant is  open from 9~14:30. 

 

 

 

今回は閉店ちょっと前の訪問だったので、カオソーイしか有りませんでしたが、他のヌードルも取り扱いはあるそうです。

今回は、カオソーイ・ヌア（牛）を食べましたが、肉がとても良く煮込んであって、口の中でトロける柔らかさ。スープはアッサリ目でしたので、コッテリが苦手な方は好きなタイプのスープだと思います。お値段45バーツだったと記憶してます。

 

I visited this restaurant just before the closing time, so they only had Khao Soi. But they do have other noodle menus.

I had Khao soi Nua (beef) this time. The beef was cooked really well, so it almost melted in my mouth. The soup was not that thick type, so easy to drink. If I remember correctly, the price was 45THB.

 

・セブンイレブン横のマーケット / Market next to 7-11

 

 

 

こちらのマーケットは、ホテルから国道1178に出ましたら、左折します。その後ずーっと走りますと、セブンイレブンが見えて来ます。その隣にマーケットが有り、そこでも食料は調達できます。

主に鳥の唐揚げを扱う場所が多く、あとはタイ北部のソーセージ・サイウアを良く見かけます。また、この市場への道中も何軒かレストランや、道端でガイヤーン（焼き鳥）を売っている場所がありますので、チェックしてみて下さい！値段は総じて安いです。

 

The way to this market is, when you hit the Rd.1178 from the hotel, make a left turn. Drive for a while, then you will find a 7-11 on your left, and the market is right next to it. 

There were many deep fried chicken stalls, and Thai Norther Sausage, Sai Ua. On the way to the market, there are few restaurants, and the stalls that sell grilled chicken, so check them out! The prices were very reasonable in general in this area.

 

・チムチュム屋 / Chim Chum restaurant 

 

さ、肝心の夜の部のご紹介です。まず初めは、ホテルからもまあまあ近いチムチュム屋でございます。

こちら、Google mapに登録されておらず、私も正確な場所を記録して無いのですが、国道1178に出ましたら右折です。そのまま先ほどのカオソーイ屋を超えてちょっとすると、このチムチュム屋があったと記憶しております…

とはいえ、夜に開いている店は少ないので、直ぐに分かるかと思いますw

 

Here comes the important part, for drinking time. This chim chum restaurant isn’t that far from the hotel. The restaurant isn’t on Google map, and I didn’t take the location record…

Anyway, when you hit the Rd.1178, make a right turn. Pass the Khao soi restaurant, and you’ll find it on your left side. Not many restaurants are open in the evening, so you can find it easily!

 

 

もちろん、タイ語だけのメニューですが、チムチュムでお好きな肉をオーダーすれば良いだけです。他のツマミメニューも書いてあったのですが、忙し過ぎて買い物に行く時間が無かった、とのことでこの日はチムチュム豚を2セット食べてお会計。

2人でチムチュム2セット、ビール2本で 270バーツ と激安でした…

 

There is only Thai language menu, but it’s easy to order chim chum, you just choose what meats you want. There are other food menus, but they said they were too busy, so didn’t have time to go shopping… so, I and my GF ate 2 sets of pork chim chum.

2 sets of chim chum + 2 bottles of beer = 270THB , cheap as…

 

 

ハイウェイ107近くの居酒屋 / Restaurant near highway 107

 

 

さて、最後はホテルからちょっと離れますが、美味しいイサーン料理が食べられるこちらのレストランです。

チェンマイから訪れる方は、往路でこの場所を通りますので何となく覚えておくと良いかと思います。

 

Lastly, this restaurant is a bit far from the hotel, but they offer great Esan foods.

If you visit Tao Life Center, you’ll pass this restaurant when you come, so just keep it in mind.

 

 

店先でおばちゃんがお肉を焼いておりますので、直ぐに発見出来ます。地元おじさん達でまあまあ賑わっておりました。

 

A lady is grilling some meats at the entrance, so it’s easy to find here. There were some local guys having beer when I visited.

 

 

毎度毎度のオーダーです…塩漬け卵のソムタム、ソムタムカイケム。

 

My regular order, salted eggs somtum, Somtum Kai khem.

 

 

豚の首の肉を焼いた物、コームーヤーン。とモツ焼き、サイヤーン 。これもいっつも頼んでますねw彼女も好きなんです…

こちらのムーヤーン、脂っこくなくまた、パクチーも山盛りです！パクチー大好きなので、これは嬉しいサービス！

 

Grilled pork neck, Kho Moo Yan, and grilled intestines, Sai Yan. My GF also likes them, so we order pretty much every time…

This Kho Moo Yan wasn’t oily at all, and there were heaps of Pakchi! I love Pakchi, so it was a big bonus!

 

 

ちょっと足りなかったので、〆にヤムママー！全て辛くしないで〜とオーダーしたので、味付けはどれもマイルドで美味しかったです！塩加減、その他の調味料のバランスもキツくなくお勧め出来るレストランです！

食事4品とビール2本でお会計 350バーツ と、ここも大変お手頃でした！

 

We ordered Yum Mama for the end! We ordered “not spicy”, so the taste was mild and pretty good! This restaurant cooks well balanced taste, so I can highly recommend here!

4 meals + 2 bottles of beer =  350THB . Again, cheap as!
