さて、今回は「世界温泉紀行」第2弾チェンダオ 編の最終回でございます。前回は土管温泉についてでしたが、今回は ポンアーン温泉 についてご紹介致します！

This is the final post of “Hot springs in the world / Chiang dao”. On the last post, I was introducing “Clay pipe hot spring“, and this time is, Pong Arng hot spring !

ポンアーン温泉の行き方 / How to get to Pong Arng hot spring
今回のチェンダオ湯治旅行で宿泊いたしました、Tao Life Centerからの行き方です。
国道1178号をひたすら北上致します。途中7-11やガソリンスタンドなどありますので、ガソリンの残量が心配な方は給油をして行きましょう。土管温泉への道とは違い、道路は綺麗に整備されています。
This is the way to Pong Arng hot spring from Tao Life Center, where we stayed 2 nights.
You just head to the north, and there are 7-11, and few petrol stations on the road. Unlike the way to the Clay pipe hot spring, the road is flat and clean.
1178号をひたすら北上すると、左手に看板が出てきますので見落とさないように注意しましょう。
余談ですが、この２つの看板は同じ交差点に立っていたのですが、上の看板には残り1km。下の看板には残り2km…まあこの辺がタイですよねw
If you keep driving on the Rd.1178, you’ll find these sings on your left, so do not miss them out.
BTW, these sings stand on the same corner, but the upper sign says,”1km to the hot spring”. The bottom one says “2km to the hot spring”… well, yes you are in Thailand now! Hahaha.
・ポンアーン温泉に到着 / Arrived in Pong Arng hot spring
【料金：Fee】外国人:100バーツ / Foreigners:100THB
＊これには近くのスィサンワン滝の入場料も含みます。 This includes the entrance fee of Sri Sang Wan waterfall.
【駐車料: Parking Fee】バイク20バーツ / Motorbike:20THB
【営業時間: Opening hours】8:00~18:00
入り口で、料金を支払い入場しましょう。このチケットは近隣にある滝への入場チケットにもなっていますので、行かれる方は無くさないようにしましょう。涼を求めるには良い場所ですよ！
Pay the fees at the entrance, and do not lose the ticket, if you plan to visit Sri Sang Wan waterfall. It’s a good place to cool down!
こちらのポンアーン温泉は、国立公園内にありますので喫煙や禁酒は禁じられています。
Pong Arng hot spring is located in the national park, so smoking and consuming alcohol are banned.
キャンプ場も綺麗に整備されていますね。でもキャンプでお酒飲めないんじゃ、楽しく無いのでは…と思ったりしましたw
The camping ground is well maintained. Imagine, you can’t drink alcohol while camping… hum, is that fun?
これ、本当に重要ですね！先日訪れました土管温泉では、現地の方が湯船に入りながら飲み食いしてて、食器を湯船につける…という行為をしていたんですよ…
It is a very important notice indeed! Actually, when I visited the Clay pipe hot spring, some local people drunk and ate while in a tub, and they washed the dishes in the tub…
平日のお昼頃に行きましたが、何組かの家族で賑わっていました。流石に国立公園内の温泉なので、しっかりと管理はされていそうです。
こちらの温泉には個室のシャワー室が完備されていますので、入浴前後の着替えも心配ありません。
We visited around lunch time in a weekday, and there were few families there. This hot spring is well maintained, compare to the other one.
There are private shower rooms, so don’t worry about changing your clothes.
上流の方に行くと、源泉に近いのでしょう。かなり熱いお湯が湧き出ています。湯船のあるエリアは、木陰になっているのでゆっくりと温泉を楽しむ事が出来ますね。
As you go ahead, there are the sources of hot spring, and these are very hot. The bathing area is under the trees, so you can enjoy bathing for a long time.
実際に入ってみました。こちらの湯船の温度は低めでゆっくりと入れる感じでした。写真見切れていますが、上流側にある浴槽の温度は結構高めで、長湯するといった感じの温度ではありませんでした。この日も酷暑だったので、湯の温度は高めなのかもしれません。
Google mapでレビューを見ると、温度がヌル過ぎると書いている方が多いですが、僕が訪れた3月は熱々でした！
こちらのお湯は硫黄臭がなく、シットリとしたお湯で肌がスベスベに感じました。やっぱり温泉は露天風呂が一番ですね！
I took a hot spring, this tub was nicely warm. The upper tub was rather hot, so I didn’t take it so long. I reckoned the day was very hot too, so that the hot spring was rather hot.
As I see Google map reviews, some Japanese complained that the hot spring was lukewarm. I can say, the hot spring is very hot enough in March!
This hot spring didn’t smell of sulphur, and I felt like the hot spring made my skin sleek. Anyway, I love the outdoor hot springs!
スィサンワン滝に寄ってみた / Visited Sri Sang Wan waterfall
温泉から10分程走りますと、スィサンワン滝に着きます。温泉で購入したチケットを見せれば、問題なく入場出来ます。
About 10 mins drive from the hot spring, you’ll arrive at Sri Sang Wan waterfall. You need to show the tickets of hot spring.
お、良いですね！滝壺で泳げる感じの滝じゃないですか。水も綺麗なので、暑い日には最高の遊び場ですね！
I love swimming in waterfalls! The water looked very clean, so it’s a nice spot for hot days!
少し下流の方に下った場所にも、遊べそうな箇所がありました。この滝、大きさはそこまで大きくありませんが、岩の表面がザラザラしているので、転ぶ心配はありません。水が冷たく、火照った体を冷やしてくれました…
If you get down a little bit, you’ll find another spot. This waterfall isn’t that big, but the surface is rough, so no worries to slip down. The water was very cool, so we played here for a while…

さて、今回はチェンダオ湯治旅行最終回、 ポンアーン温泉 についてお伝えしました。
土管温泉に比べますと、100バーツの入場料がかかりますが、その分管理もしっかりされていて、露天風呂で寛げるので、僕個人的にはオススメの温泉です！スィサンワン滝も、涼を求めるには良いスポットなので、チェンマイからちょっと足を伸ばしてみては、いかがでしょうか？

・ポンアーン温泉には個室のシャワー室完備。ロッカーは無いので、貴重品管理は気をつけましょう！
・スィサンワン滝は涼を求めるには良いスポットです！

On this post, I’ve been introducing Pong Arng hot spring in Chiang dao.
Compare to the Clay pipe hot spring, it costs 100THB, but it’s well maintained and you can enjoy the outdoor tub, so I highly recommend here! Sri Sang Wan water fall is also a nice spot to chill down, so why don’t you visit there?
・The entrance fee is 100THB for foreigners. It includes the entrance of Sri Sang Wan waterfall!
・There are private shower rooms in the premises. There is no locker, so watch out for your valuables!
・Sri Sang Wan waterfall is a good spot for chilling out!
