ナマステ〜、どうもタカです！

いきなりですが、皆さん温泉好きですか？僕は2014年まで海外を放浪しておりまして、約6年程日本を離れておりました。

帰国してからと言うもの、温泉の素晴らしさを再認識しまして、日本の温泉に通い詰めています。友人が居る、群馬の温泉を良く攻めています！いや〜あんなに心身共に癒される物って、なかなか存在しませんよね…

今回は、2018年アンナプルナトレッキングに訪れた際に行きました、「タトパニ」の温泉と村の様子をご紹介致します！

Do you guys like hot springs? Actually, when I was younger, I wasn’t really into hot springs. However, once I was away from Japan for 6 years, and then came back to the country, I realised that how great hot springs are!

Hot springs really do ease your both your body and mental… such a thing can’t be found that easily aye? Now that, I’m a huge fun of hot springs, so I’ve been visiting many hot springs in Japan, mainly the north Kanto region.

Anyway, I’ll show you the hot spring in Nepal, called “Tatopani” this time. I made Annapurna circuit in 2018, and at the end of my trekking, I visited there. 

 

タトパニの場所 / Where is Tatopani?

 

さて、タトパニの所在地ですがネパールで人気のトレッキングルートの１つ「 アンナプルナ周遊 」をすると、一番の難関トロンパス（5416m)峠越えをして、ルートの最終地点近くに今回ご紹介する「タトパニ」は存在します。

多くのトレッカーは、ハードなトレッキングを終えて、ポカラに帰る前にスッキリ…と言った感じで湯に浸かりにこの村に立ち寄ります。また、多くのネパール人もこの村に温泉目当てで訪れます。なかなかインターナショナルな温泉ですよ！

 

There are few major trekking routes in Nepal, and one of them is “ Annapurna circuit “. After crossing the highlight of this trekking, Thorong La (5416m), and Tatopani is located all most the end of this trekking route.

Thus, many trekkers visit this small village to get relaxed your body, before going back to Pokhara. There sure are many Nepalese visit Tatopani to enjoy the hot spring, so this place is international indeed!

 

 

タトパニの村の作りはちょっと変わっていまして、夜にバスや徒歩で到着するとちょっと戸惑う事がありますので、写真で解説致しましょう。僕は日暮れ後にバスで到着しまして、ちょっと彷徨ってしまいましたw

 

If you arrive in Tatopani in the evening by bus or on foot, you might have a difficulty to find Tatopani’s accommodation. I’ll explain you by pics. I arrived in Tatopani after sunset, and got lost a little bit!

 

 

タトパニの宿泊施設やお店は、道路沿いでは無くこの階段を上がって、マップで示したロッジの庭を突っ切ると、もう一本の道（マップ上の白い道）があり、そこの道沿いに商店＆ホテルが存在致します。

ちなみに、僕は地図で示してあったダウラギリロッジに宿泊しましたが、庭が心地良くレストランもまあまあ美味しかったので、オススメ致します。ただ、人気なのでハイシーズンだと断られる可能性もあるかと思います。

 

The shops and accommodation are not located on the main highway, you need to go up the stairs.

Once you are up, you’ll find the garden of “Dhaulagiri Lodge”,now you are crossing the garden, and then you’ll reach to the another small road, which is indicated by white on the map. There are many shops and hotels on that road.

BTW, I stayed at “Dhaulagiri Lodge” for few nights, the garden was tidy and the restaurant wasn’t bad at all. Mind you, it’s a pretty famous spot, so during the high-season, difficult to grab a bed.

 

 

この階段から温泉の全体像を見る事が出来ます。ご覧の通り、浴槽は2つあるのですが、いつも奥の方1つにしか湯は張ってありませんでした。

 

You can see the hot spring from this stairs. As you can see, there are 2 tubs in the premises, but they use only one tub.

 

 

階段を登り、門を潜るとロッジの庭を突っ切ります。僕の滞在した部屋からの眺めです。晴れると向こう側に雪を被った綺麗な山を望む事が出来ます。

 

Once you climb up the stairs, you’ll reach to the garden. This was the view from my room, when the weather was good, I could see the snow-capped mountain, beautiful!

 

 

ロッジの庭を通過しますと、メインロードに辿り着きます。ここにロッジや商店、レストランが軒を連ねます。温泉街と言った情緒は、全く感じられませんので悪しからず…

 

After crossing the garden, you’ll hit the main road of Tatopani! There are hotels, shops, and restaurants on the road. It’s totally different from Japanese hot spring town, pretty interesting atmosphere tho.

 

 

こちら、夜のタトパニのメインストリートですwトレッキング行く方なら、懐中電灯の類を持って行くから問題ないでしょうが、もし温泉だけを目指す方が居たらヘッドランプ持って行くことをお勧めします！

ネパールは頻繁に停電がありますが、タトパニは毎日午後7時頃停電になっていました。カトマンズやポカラと言った都市でも、停電は頻発しますのでヘッドライトがあると何かと便利です。

 

This is the pic of Tatopani during the evening… It was really dark, so bringing a flash light is highly advisable!

There are power cuts every night in Nepal, and there was a regular power cut around 7PM in Tatopani. I’m sure, when you travel in Nepal, you’ll experience power cuts pretty much everyday, so don’t forget to bring a flash light!

 

 

 

 

さて、タトパニの街の作りを紹介したので、本題の温泉に入りましょう！

タトパニの温泉は朝6時から入れたと記憶しております…やはり、一番風呂を頂きたいですよねw

入り口のゲートを潜りますと、受付の人が居ますので 外国人は150ルピー （2018年3月現在）を払って入場します。しかし！先述しました通り、タトパニは夜の7時頃に毎日停電が発生します。

この時間帯に行くと、フェンスを難なく潜れてしまいます…良い子は真似しないようにw

 

Let’s move on to the hot spring!

If I remember correctly, this hot spring is open from 6AM… I love taking a bath early in the morning.

As you enter the premises, there is a counter, and you need to pay  150Rps  (Mar,2018). However, as I mentioned before, there is a regular power cut around 7 PM in Tatopani.

If you visit the hot spring during that time, you can easily sneak in… well, don’t try this guys! Hahaha.

 

 

脱衣所、ロッカーの類は特にないので貴重品は部屋に置いて行きましょう。皆さん写真左の様に石段の上や、写真右のフェンスに脱いだ洋服を掛けていました。

 

There are no changing rooms and lockers, so leave your valuables in your room. Everyone put their clothes on the fence.

 

 

ネパールでもちゃんとかけ湯をしてから入りましょう！こちらの看板は、「トレッキング後に温泉に入るなら、2回体を洗ってから入浴してくれ！」と訴えかけていますw

湯船に入りながら観察していましたが、ローカルの方はきちんとかけ湯をしてから入浴していましたが、西洋人はかけ湯をしないで入浴しようとして、ネパール人に注意をされていました。

 

As the sign said, do NOT forget to wash your body before entering the tub. Amazingly enough, the local people did wash their body before entering the tub. On the other hand, the western people didn’t take a shower, and the local people told them to take a shower.

 

 

朝風呂を頂きに6時頃行きますと、やっぱり温泉は綺麗です。これが午後になり夜になるとどんどんと汚れて行きます…

朝一は空いていますし、熱々のお湯をガンガン出しているので気持ちの良いお風呂が頂けますよ！肝心の泉質ですが、無色透明で入りやすいです。お湯はぬる目ですが、温泉を足している付近は温度が高めになっているので、熱めが好きな方はそこを狙って入りましょう。

 

If you visit the place early in the morning, the water is clean. As time passed, the water is getting dirtier and dirtier…

It’s pretty quiet early in the morning, and the temperature of hot spring is hot enough, so highly recommend to visit here in the morning! The hot spring is clear, and no sulphur smell at all. The temperature is pretty mild, so easy to take.

 

 

洗い場は写真の一箇所しかありません。もう一箇所あるにはあるんですが、水しか出なかったので日中しか使用するのは厳しいでしょう。

ピーク時は、洗い場もかなり混み合いますのでタイミングを見計らって素早く済ませましょう。日本の温泉が如何に素晴らしいか、実感できますよw

 

The washing space is just only one. There is actually another one, but only cold water is available, so pretty tough to wash your body unless during the day time.

It’s pretty busy during the peak time, so get ready to wash your body ASAP. Man, I reconfirmed that how great the Japanese hot springs are…

 

 

 

一応トイレ（小）はある様です…しかしこの絵のクオリティーwゴリラーマンを思い出してしまいました。

 

There is a bathroom just in case… I love the quality of this paining tho! Hahaha.

 

 

さて、今回は「世界温泉紀行」という安易なタイトルで、シリーズ初記事を投稿いたしました。

今後も日本のみならず、世界の温泉を紹介して行こうと思います！昨日までも、タイの温泉に行って来ましたので、その記事も近日中にアップしたいと思います。

 

・アンナプルナ周遊の〆はタトパニの温泉で、疲れと汚れを落としましょう！

・入場料は150ルピー。ロッカーは無いので、貴重品は部屋に置いて来ましょう！

・ネパールでもかけ湯は忘れずに！

I’m going to write about not only Japanese hot springs, but also all over the world! I visited Thai hot spring recently, so I would like to post about it near the future.

 

・At the end of Annapurna circuit, visit Tatopani and clean up your body!

・Entrance fee is 150Rps. There is no locker there, so leave your valuables in your room!

・Do not forget to wash your body before entering the tub.
