さて、今回はアウトドア用品を安く購入しよう！のコーナーです。皆さん、アウトドア用品何処で購入していますか？日本は関税の関係で、アウトドア用品はかなりお高いんですよね…
長年使用していましたグラナイトギアのバックパック、軽くて背負い心地も良く気に入っているのですが、荷物の出し入れが上蓋の一箇所からしか出来ず、山行に行った際にテントや寝袋を取り出すのに、一度荷物を全部出さないといけない…のが苦痛になって来まして、新しいバックパックを購入しよう！とネット＆実店舗を回ってリサーチしていました。

It’s been pretty wet this rainy season here in Japan… I’ve been frustrated as I want to go camping and trekking! Arhhuuuu.
BTW, where do you shop when you wanna buy outdoor products? Outdoor products are relatively expensive in Japan.
I’ve been using Granite gear‘s backpack for a decade. It’s super light and comfortable to carry around, but there is the only top lid, so when I go trekking, I need to take all the stuff out to pull out my sleeping gears…. It’s a hassle to do that each time, so I decided to buy a new one.
Webtogs…安全なのか？ / Is Webtogs safe to shop?
実店舗を何軒か周り、背負い心地や使い勝手が良さそうなOspreyのAtmos 65を購入しよう！と決めました。トラベルバッグもOspreyを使用していて、その頑丈さと背面のメッシュ加工が素晴らしく背負い易いので、山行用のバックパックもOspreyにしようと決断しました。
肝心なお値段ですが、やはり60リッター級のバックパックなので何処も3万円ちょっと。うーん、まあ仕方無いですが絶対海外のサイトで買えば安いんだろうな〜とネットでリサーチしてみると…
I went to few shops and decided to buy Atmos 65. I’ve been using Osprey’s travel bag for over a decade, and I’ve been very satisfied with their products. It’s very durable and the backside is mesh, so pretty comfortable and breathable.
About the price here in Japan, it costs around $300… Well, it’s a 65 litters backpack so $300 is a reasonable price, but I knew buying from overseas is way cheaper.
ビンゴ！Google先生、本当に素晴らしいですねw今まではTrekkinnが最安かな？と思ってましたが、SurfdomeとWebtogsと言う２つのショップが最安なようです。フムフム。
そこで、この２つのショップについて日本語＆英語でリサーチしてみました。両方ともイギリスのショップの様で、Twitterも持っているので怪しい会社では無い事は分かりました。
しかし、Surfdomeのレビューを見てみると「偽物のコンバースが届いた！」とのコメントが散見されたり、「カスタマーサポートと連絡が取れない！」とのコメントがチラホラ…と言う事で、今回は実験も兼ねて、Webtogsから購入する事にしました！
Thanks to Google, I found the cheapest shops! I thought Trekkinn was the cheapest option, but it turned out Surfdome and Webtogs are the cheapest.
I did a thorough research in Japanese and English. Both shops are from England and both of them have Twitter accounts.
However, as I checked the reviews of Surfdome, some people complained that they got FAKE Converse shoes, and some said they couldn’t contact the customer service… Thus, I decided to buy from Webtogs!

ページ、右上に国と言語を選ぶ項目があります。日本語にも対応していますので、英語が苦手な方でも安心です！まあ翻訳はかなりデタラメですけど、問題なく買い物はできるハズです…
On the top right, you can choose your country and language. Amazingly, they have Japanese language too, so it’s pretty good for the Japanese customers, as we really don’t understand English…
配送方法は、UPSと無料のLandmark Super Saverから選ぶ事が出来ます。急ぎでは無いので、Landmark Super Saverを選択しました。購入したのが6月29日で、画面には到着予定日は7月11日と表示されていました。
いやー日本で買うより約40％オフで購入出来ちゃうんですね…これだけ安いと、ちょっと心配になります。
You can choose the shipment methods, UPS or Landmark Super Saver (I chose Landmark Super Saver). I made an order on 29th June, and it said that product would be delivered by 11th July.
Well, it’s about 40% cheaper than the Japanese market… Quite honestly, I was bit worried if the product would be fake.
支払い方法ですが、残念ながらJCBは使用できません。今回は初めて購入する海外サイトなので安心のPaypalを選択しました。
As for the payment, you can choose from Visa, Master, American Express and Paypal. It was the first time to buy from Webtogs, so I chose Paypal just in case.
日本語の画面で買い物をすると、この様な画面が表示されています。
一番上の「役職」ですが、これは英語で言う「Title」で男性ならMr、女性ならMissと記入します。ここが唯一のトラップですが、後はローマ字で住所を入力して行きましょう。
買い物を続けると、上記の様なメッセージが表示されます。もしかすると、荷物を受け取る際に関税がかかりますよ！とのメッセージです。今回、この金額を超えた買い物でしたのでこのメッセージが表示されましたが、結果的に荷物を受け取る際に税金は徴収されませんでした！
As you proceed shopping, you might encounter this popup message. It says that you might incur import taxes. Luckily enough, I didn’t need to pay any extra money when I got my product tho!
その後、会計を済ませると注文完了のメールが届きます。注文したのが週末だったので、上記の発送の通知が来るまで2日程待ちました。
After checking out, you’ll receive a confirmation email. I made the order during weekend, so I got a shipment confirmation on Tuesday.
しかし！メールに添付されていた、配送状況の追跡URLをクリックするとエラーメッセージが…時間をおいても、ずーっとエラーが表示されていたので、カスタマーサポートに問い合わせをしました。
こういった場面には、英語が必要になってきますね。こういうケースは稀だと思いますが、海外サイトで買い物をすると予期せぬ事がたま〜に起こります。
But! I clicked the attached URL to track my order, but it showed an error message. I tried few times, but it was the same so I contacted the customer support.
It made me a bit nervous, but I reckon that it was a rare case.
問い合わせのメールを送ってから、翌日にはカスタマーサポートから新たな追跡方法が送られて来ていました。対応も早く、ひとまず安心しました。
I contacted the customer support via email, and the next day I got a solution. The respond was pretty quick, so it was a relief.
遂に荷物到着！ / Finally, the item was delivered!
驚く事に、予定より4日も早く商品は到着致しました！注文してから約1週間で、イギリスから荷物が届いてしまいました。これは嬉しい誤算でした！
Surprisingly enough, the item was delivered 4 days earlier than expected! It took just a week from England to Japan… How fast was that!?
ダンボール＆テープ共に100％リサイクルされた物を使っているそうです。ダンボールが若干押し潰されていますが、中身はカバンなのでまあ問題無いでしょう。
Both the cardboard box and tapes are 100% recycled. The box was a little bit squashed, but inside was a backpack, so no problem at all for me.
コピー商品が届いたらどうしよう…と心配しましたが、どうやら杞憂に終わりました！
結果、日本より約40％も安く購入する事が出来て、尚且つたったの１週間で荷物が届く…と、かなり賢く買い物が出来たと大満足でした！
I was pretty worried that If I got a fake product… but the product is 100% authentic!
All in all, I am super satisfied with shopping with Webtogs, as I could buy the product 40% cheaper than the Japanese market, and only 1 week delivery time.
総評… / Verdict…
今回は、海外サイトWebtogsは安全に買い物が出来るのか？を実証してみました。
・商品によっては、日本より４割安く購入出来る！
・配送期間は驚きの約１週間！
・商品は本物！
結果、Webtogsはかなりオススメのショッピングサイトでした！ただ取り扱いアイテム数は、Trekkinn
が圧倒的に有利です。上手く使い分けて賢く買い物しましょう！
本格的なアウトドアシーズンは直ぐそこですので、新しいギアを買おうと計画している方の参考になれば幸いです！ではまた〜！
